Their World is Closer than You Think

I just watched This Movie today with Carly and Eric. The Spiderwick Chronicles is a fantasy film based on Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi's series of the same name. It was directed by Mark Waters and stars Freddie Highmore, Sarah Bolger, Mary-Louise Parker, Martin Short, Nick Nolte, and Seth Rogen.

Once upon a time, upon moving into the run-down Spiderwick Estate with their mother, twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace, along with their sister Mallory, find themselves pulled into an alternate world full of fairies and other creatures. Unable to explain the strange disappearances and accidents that seem to be happening on a daily basis, the family blames it all on Jared. When he, Simon and Mallory investigate what's really going on, they uncover the fantastic truth of the Spiderwick estate and of the creatures that inhabit it.

I've read all the books, and of course the books are way much better than the movie. They didn't show the whole story on the movie. Yeah, i know that's a very hard thing when you're making a movie based on 5 books.

The one thing that i noticed the most is that in the movie the fight between the humans and the creatures happened in Spiderwick Estate; while in the book the fight actually happened on the forest thingy. But all in all, this movie is definitely worth to watch for those who love fantasy--like me.
