Seven Dorks

I finished watching this movie online just a few moments ago. It's called Sydney White and The Seven Dorks, which is a modern story about the classic Princess, Snow White.

This modern retelling of the classic fairytale follows a beautiful college freshman as she pledges her late mother's once dignified sorority. But after discovering that today's sisterhood is not what it used to be, Sydney finds her new home away from home with seven outcasts. With the help of her socially challenged new friends, Sydney will take on the reigning campus queen to attempt to transform the school's misguided social hierarchy.

I like Amanda Bynes in this movie, she’s always so quirky and lovable, similar to her performance in She’s The Man. The idea of the seven dorks is also something that turns out to be working.

However,  I don’t understand about the existance of The Vortex. They said that it’s the place for dorks and wierdos who have no other place to live. Whereas in the bieginning of the movie, they showed us that there is a uni dorm. Why didn’t they just live there?

The other thing is, the kissing scene to wake up Snow White, or in this case Sydney White just deosn’t make any sense at all. She was sleeping, she’s not dead, there’s no need to kiss her to wake her up. But yeah, I know that they were trying to make as many refrence as possible to the original Snow White story.

This is a good  movie though. Would I watch it again? Yes.
